Age Agenda Consultant
3-month full-time secondment at Forster, London. c. £35k p.a. pro rata

A strong communications consultant who understands the importance of re-establishing the value of old age in our society. Someone who can:
  • dynamically and proactively raise issues and challenge deep-rooted assumptions about old age;
  • wake up corporates and the communications industry to the importance of this issue;
  • position Forster AGEncy as champions of the age agenda, acknowledged experts in communicating with/on behalf of older people.
The role:
  • Insight development: providing in-depth knowledge, guidance and hands-on support to Forster’s ongoing issue/ trendwatch report/briefs/analysis work;
  • Active voice: collecting/showcasing evidence – face-to-face, film, literature etc – as directed by Forster’s work; blogging on the Forster AGEncy website and wherever relevant; writing opportunistic editorial opinion pieces within sector-relevant media; playing an active role in launching the Forster Agency manifesto to a range of commercial and not-for-profit clients
  • New business development: pitch/presentation input, as issue expert; review, refine, develop contact database; networking, as appropriate, with relevant individuals and organisations;
  • Service development/delivery: audience insight workshops and as directed.

Aged 55+ - 12 weeks, fully paid, at Forster, London


We’re looking for someone from our target age group to help our AGEncy team engage meaningfully with people over 50. This is an exciting opportunity for a person who wants to get back into the workplace or develop their experience by working as part of a consultancy. You must be interested in communications and the media, enjoy writing and be keen to ‘make things happen’. During your internship you will be working on specific projects, answering the telephone, helping with research and the collection of evidence to support our work, preparing reports and expressing a balanced point of view through a blog.
